Ryan and Mariam Engagements

On Saturday morning, Jenny and I went downtown to shoot Ryan and Mariam's engagement photos. We were going to do them earlier in the week, but weather was not permitting. Saturday morning was absolutely gorgeous and perfect, though. Well, aside from being freaking cold. Jen and I were in ski coats and freezing.

Seeing as how imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I got this shot idea from Dave Terry. He has a few pictures against this wall and I've wanted one just it ever since. I am so in love with the graffiti wall.

Other Dave Terry location. I'm reasonably sure Jenny's pictures here look better because she had my wide-angle (which is a plus for all the cool architectural things happening there) and I had the portrait lens that required standing in the street to take a picture on occasion.

And a Whitney Lewis imitation. I saw she did this shot a could of weeks ago and wanted one like it. Jenny didn't hide the fact that she thought it was a crazy idea. (o:

Then, of course, we can't not try to imitate Suzanne Plant. Jenny was the one who remembered this shot.

We even did some with Ryan's face, even though he said he preferred the pictures with just Mariam.

They were incredibly fun to shoot. Mariam is a born model; Jenny and I both want to photograph her again sometime soon. Congratulations to Ryan and Mariam and to Ryan on his internship!

So I was looking at one of my friend's friend's pictures (she's going into photography I think? ..Tangent) and I saw one she had taken by the graffiti wall and I was all "*Gasp* Kristy's graffiti wall!". And these are of course awesome, just like you. The End.
